Techlab PNG is a pilot program designed to help establish a technology ecosystem in Papua New Guinea, as well as help tech enabled enterprises become investment ready. It included an Accelerator Program and regular seminars, workshops and meetups for the wider tech community. The program was designed and managed by Australian company, Gensol, and supported by the PNG-Australia Partnership. Origame was engaged to manage external relations.
We developed a full communications strategy to support the program. Tactics included developing an active online community, plus using digital media and publicity to promote events. We also provided creative direction, storyboarding, and graphic design services to develop a promotional video and infographic for use by the Australian High Commission.
The program engaged over 500 participants, has an online community of 4,500 people, with media reaching over 500,000 people. This included placement of a large billboard on the highway, two radio interviews, and five articles published in PNG's most popular newspaper, The National.
